Nexus Missions

Our vision is to see people around the world experience the gospel and find freedom from poverty and oppression.

Nexus Missions

We understand that poverty is only a symptom of a much deeper root cause: brokenness, inequality, and lack of peace in the foundational relationships God created us to enjoy. Through mission and development, we engage with communities and partner with grassroots organisations and local leaders to practically and spiritually restore hope.

Local Support:

In Brisbane, we support many local chaplains, schools, YWAM Brisbane, Teen Challenge and more.

Additionally, our charity Nexus Care works to practically help those in our own city in extreme hardship. Nexus Care has locations in Everton Park and Sandgate, and runs a plant nursery called Closeburn Country Garden as a social enterprise in Samford.

Global Support:

Globally, we support 7 global partners in the incredible work they do all around the world. Scroll down to meet our global partners.

Japan:

Nexus Church works with trusted local partners in Japan to share the hope of the gospel and strengthen what He is already doing in the nation. A major part of this is sending a mission team to Japan each year! Keep an eye out for more info about upcoming trips under the “What’s On” page.

Meet our Global Partners!

Jereme & Ally

Middle East

For over a decade, Jereme & Ally have lived and served in restricted-access countries, walking alongside unreached Muslim communities through medical care, development, and emergency relief that build trust, restore dignity, and bring hope. This often unseen work flows from a simple conviction: people matter deeply to God, and He works through faithful, long-term Christian presence in both word and deed. With their partners, they steward the gospel with wisdom—showing God’s love without conditions, building relationships across deep divides, and trusting God to do what only He can do.

Ric & Marissa Knott

Central Java, Indonesia

After many years in ministry as worship pastors in New Zealand and Australia and as Senior Pastors at Elim Church in Wellington, Richard and Marissa moved to the U.K. in 2022 and, in a significant 2024 transition, stepped out in faith to relocate to Indonesia as missionaries with The Mount Hope Foundation.

Mount Hope Foundation equips thousands of Christian leaders to impact communities across Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim country, through 3 entities; a Bible College, Christian Institute, and a large self-sustaining school and training centre. They have come to help transition its leadership, serve in pastoral and discipleship roles, and ensure its legacy of faith continues for generations to come.
